Sports teams not regulated by Delaware or part of school-sponsored programs will now be subject to stricter guidelines surrounding concussion safety.
That means thousands of kids participating on independent sports teams, such as those run by private schools, travel teams and youth organizations, will have to follow the same concussion regulations that all teams in the Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association have been abiding by since 2011.
